The cold open of Ep. 1 will tease the overall arc that we’re about to follow: how a journey into the world of UFOs through the headlines of today will ultimately lead us into a bigger, weirder, and potentially paradigm-shifting exploration of the paranormal as a whole... all of it grounded by the most respected scholars, credentialed pilots, Congressmen, intelligence officers, and boundary-pushing thinkers in the world.
From there, we will enter the story of UFOs as it exists in the current day, starting with the groundbreaking 2017 New York Times story that revealed a black-money Defense Department organization dedicated to studying UFOs. Featuring testimonies from people like the author of that story, Leslie Kean, and the source of the Times’ videos, former intelligence official Christopher Mellon, we’ll show how the story totally changed the public’s attitude toward the credibility of UFOs — but it didn’t shift the conversation within the halls of government as much as they had hoped.
That changed, however, with the first hearings on the subject, when respected military pilots spoke behind closed doors to lawmakers about what they’d seen while serving their country. One of these pilots, Ryan Graves, will tell us about his experiences on the USS Roosevelt observing UFOs, and he’ll give us a firsthand account of testifying before Congress and the effect that seems to have had, with the creation of an official department within the DoD and the first serious study of UFOs since Project Blue Book.
Here, we’ll fill in some of the history of UFOs in America, touching on the most significant milestones, including Project Blue Book and Roswell. Talking to a number of elected officials, including Reps. Adam Schiff, Andre Carson, and Tim Burchett and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, we’ll learn how the perspective on these events has shifted massively with recent developments — a bill has even been introduced to uncover the truth about Roswell.
This will also lead us to the recent spate of sightings after the shooting down of a Chinese balloon, and how this poses one of the greatest opportunities in the history of the subject. Mellon and Graves, who started one of the first official UFO projects within an official aerospace organization, will discuss how we have the opportunity to change the way we monitor our airspace and finally get to the bottom of this undeniable presence that exists in our skies.
Or: we could continue to turn our eyes away from what’s going on... because the truth might be too much for us to handle. Because there’s a good possibility that this is a whole lot weirder than just machines in the sky...
